(CENTREVILLE) – The St. Joseph County Road Commission has found their next Managing Director, and they didn’t have to look far to find him.
During a special meeting October 29, the Road Commission Board held a special meeting to interview two candidates for the position of Managing Director. Closed sessions were held with both individuals to conduct the interviews.
After the interviews were finished, the Board came out of closed session and a motion was made to hire Garrett Myland for the position, effective February 1, 2026. It was approved by a unanimous vote.
Myland has been Director of Engineering for the Road Commission for several years. He will take over as Managing Director as John Lindsey is retiring from the position.
The Board also approved Myland’s salary at $135,000.
With Myland being hired, the Road Commission has posted that they are now looking to hire a new Director of Engineering. To find out more about this position, you can visit the St. Joseph County Road Commission website.
