(STURGIS) – The Sturgis City Commission received an update on three street projects during Wednesday’s meeting.
Mayor Frank Perez asked City Engineer Barry Cox if he could provide information on the status of East Lafayette Street, Michigan Avenue and St. Joseph Street.
Cox starts by talking about Michigan Avenue. LINKC.
Sturgis City Manager Andrew Kuk says the project is on schedule, and they are waiting for that control panel and are not sure when it will be delivered.
Cox then gives an update on East Lafayette Street. LINKD.
Cox says they are working to get signs back up and the shoulder installed, and he has no time frame for when that work to be finished.
Finally, Cox says on St. Joseph Street there was a revised schedule. Crews are on that schedule and expect by the end of this week, to have most of the underground utility installation completed. He says they will be bringing subgrade and aggregate base in to install curb and gutters.
