(DEKALB COUNTY) – The driver of a dump truck was injured when the vehicle rolled over.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, 44 year old Michael Ferguson of Ossian, Indiana was driving north on I-69 at the 324 mile marker at 7:15 AM Friday. Ferguson told deputies that his front right tire blew, causing him to lose control, go off the roadway into the median. The dump truck struck the cable barrier in the median and rolled onto its side.
The truck was hauling river rock which spread across the highway. Both the northbound and southbound lanes were shut down while the truck was removed and the rock cleaned up.
Ferguson was taken to Parkview Regional Hospital complaining of leg and head pain.
Indiana State Police, the Auburn Fire Department and Parkview EMS all assisted at the scene.
