(GOSHEN) – Goshen Police are investigating a weekend shooting incident that injured an individual.
Officers were sent to the 200 block of North Indiana Avenue just after 12:30 Sunday afternoon for a personal injury accident involving a truck and a parked car. When they arrived, police found a 21 year old man inside the truck, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was flown to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
The Elkhart County Homicide Unit was called in to assist with the investigation. Officers located property damage due to bullet holes in several nearby homes, along with additional damage to another car.
This is believed to be an isolated event.
