(WHITE PIGEON TOWNSHIP) – One person is dead from a crash between a golf cart and a pickup in White Pigeon Township.

Michigan State Police say that a golf cart with three passengers was traveling west on Lake Road at 5:15 PM Tuesday when it was rear ended by a pick up.

The driver of the golf cart, a 61 year old White Pigeon man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His two passengers were taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo with serious injuries.

The pick up driver, a 56 year old Bronson man, was taken to Beacon Health Three Rivers Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Speed and drugs are believed to be factors in the crash, which is still being investigated. It’s unknown if safety belts were worn.
