Big inning helps Mendon beat Manchester 11-0 in D-4 Softball Quarterfinals
(BATTLE CREEK) – A close game was broke open with an 8 run fourth inning as the No. 3 Mendon softball team beat Manchester 11-0 in five innings in a Division 4 Quarterfinal match up at Bailey Park. Rowen Allen went the distance in the circle, pitching a no hitter with 10 strikeouts and 3 walks. She also had a solo home run and a two run triple in the win. LINKC. Cienna Nightingale had a two run double and scored three times. LINKD. Mendon improves to 31-2 and will take on No. 7 Hillman in a Friday semifinal game at Michigan State University. Hillman won their Quarterfinal game over Bessemer 9-1.
