(LANSING) – A Cass County man is $1 million richer.
Michigan Lottery officials say that 31 year old Cain Bice of Union, Michigan matched the five white balls in the April 6 Powerball drawing to win his prize. He purchased his winning tickets on line at the Michigan Lottery website.
Bice says he bought a few more Powerball tickets than he usually does because the jackpot was over $1 billion. The morning after the drawing, Bice says he logged into his Michigan Lottery account and saw a lot of zeros. Once he realized he won $1 million, he started shouting.
He showed his wife and after they calmed down, they called their family.
Bice recently visited Lottery headquarters in Lansing to claim his prize. He says he plans to buy a house, a car and take a trip to Disney World.
