(BRONSON TOWNSHIP) – Authorities are saying that lightning may be the cause of a house fire in Bronson Township.
Bronson Fire Chief Scott Wilber says his department was called out to 241 Hyska Road around 2:30 AM Sunday. Firefighters got to the scene and found a two story farmhouse engulfed in flames. It took approximately three hours to put the blaze out.
Wilber says their investigation shows that lightning from a storm that moved through the area likely started the fire. He also says it had been burning for quite awhile before a passing motorist saw the fire and called 911.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries.
