(CENTREVILLE) – The Centreville Board of Education has selected someone they know to be their interim Superintendent.
During a meeting on Monday, the Centreville School Board selected Centreville High School Principal Chad Brady to be the interim Superintendent. He will take over for Stephanie Lemmer, who is leaving at the end of January to become the new Superintendent for the Battle Creek Pennfield School District.
Speaking to Swick Broadcasting, Brady says his familiarity with Centreville Schools was a factor in his being selected to fill the position on a temporary basis. LINKC.
Brady says he will be getting a crash course in being a Superintendent from Lemmer before she leaves. He says he has a great group of people that are there to help him. LINKD.
Brady’s contract as Interim Superintendent will run from February 1 until July 31.
Also on Monday, the Board of Education agreed to hire the Michigan Association of School Boards to help them search for a full time Superintendent. The posting for the position will close on April 5. Candidate selection will be on April 11 and first round interviews are scheduled for April 23. Final interviews will be on April 30.
Brady did not say if he will put his name in to be a candidate for the position on a full time basis.
