(STURGIS) – A Sturgis woman was arrested on multiple counts by Sturgis Police.

At 12:04 AM Wednesday, officers identified a woman walking in the 300 block of North Nottawa Street who had a warrant out for her arrest. As officers made contact with the 30 year old Sturgis resident, she ran away.

K-9 Officer Tucky and Sergeant Franklin Noel were called in to track the woman, and they found her hiding in the entryway of a business in the 200 block of North Nottawa.

The woman surrendered and was charged with resisting and obstruction, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and on the warrant charge.
