(GOSHEN) - A Goshen woman has been sentenced following a drunk driving crash into an Amish buggy.
Elkhart County Court officials say Jakaila Miracle was sentenced to nine years after she pled guilty the felony counts of failure to remain at the scene of an accident; three counts of causing serious bodily injury when operating a vehicle while intoxicated; battery by bodily waste and battery against a public safety official.
The crash happened in Kosciusko County on May 29. Investigators say Miracle crashed into a buggy on State Road 19. Four people were ejected from the vehicle, including the driver, three passengers, and a 25-day-old baby.
