(COLDWATER) - Felony charges of criminal sexual conduct have been filed against a Coldwater man following an investigation.
Branch County District Court records say 64 year old Richard Gump was arraigned Tuesday on one count of First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and two counts of Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct. Documents say the victims were under the age of 13.
Gump was arrested following an investigation conducted by the Coldwater Police Department on incidents that allegedly happened between October 1, 2023 and January 11, 2024.
Gump is being held in the Branch County Jail with bond set at $750,000. If he should be able to post bond, he is ordered to have no contact with the victims, or anyone under the age of 18.
A probable cause hearing is set for December 11 and a preliminary examination for December 17.
