(UNDATED) - Authorities have confirmed that a tornado touched down June 11 moving from LaGrange to Steuben County.

The National Weather Service says the EF-1 tornado touched down at 11:12 PM two miles south southeast of Big Long Lake. It moved northeast into Steuben County and then took a more easterly turn, where it impacted portions of western and northern Angola. It eventually went back up at 11:28 PM north northeast of Angola.

Most of the damage from the tornado was done to electrical poles and trees, suggesting the twister may have occasionally lifted off the surface.

Maximum winds are estimated at 90 MPH. The tornado went 15.5 miles and had a maximum width of 250 yards.
