(COLDWATER) - An incident Monday night led to the arrest of a Coldwater man.
According to the Branch County Sheriff's Office, deputies were sent to the 800 block of Williams Drive Monday evening to investigate a domestic assault. Their investigation led to the arrest of Muhammad Mumin.
The suspect was arrested and then arraigned on a felony charge of assault with intent to do great bodily arm less than murder in Branch County District Court.
Mumin plead not guilty to the charge. He is being held in the Branch County Jail with his bond set at $60,000.
The matter is still under investigation.
