(DEKALB COUNTY) - An early Saturday morning crash in rural DeKalb County sent one man to the hospital after he swerved to miss a deer and rolled his vehicle.
Sheriff's officials say it happened around 5:15 a.m. in the 3900 block of County Road 7. The driver was headed south when a deer darted into the roadway. He tried to avoid it, but lost control, veered into a ditch, and slammed into a tree, a culvert, and a large rock before the vehicle rolled.
Corunna Fire crews and Parkview EMS responded and took the driver to the hospital with head, chest, and hip pain. The crash remains under investigation
