(CENTREVILLE) - The St. Joseph County Grange Fair has a new Fair Manager.

Fair Board President Keith Bower says that Dr. Regina L. Schinker has been hired as the new Fair Manager. A lifelong resident of St. Joseph County and Mendon, Schinker brings deep community roots, strong leadership experience, and a lifelong passion for the fair to this role.

Schinker's family connection to the Fair runs deep and spans generations. Her great-grandparents, Lloyd and Edith Cupp, were dedicated Grange members and Fair board leaders, later honored with induction into the St. Joseph County Grange Fair Hall of Fame. That legacy continues today, as Schinker's extended family; including her mother, aunts, cousins, and children, have also all been actively involved in the fair and 4-H over the years.

For Schinker, the fair is not just an event, but a cherished family tradition filled with lasting memories.

With a lifelong history of showing horses and poultry, Schinker has been especially active in the fair community, most recently serving for several years as the Open Class Chicken Co-Superintendent.

Schinker says she is enthusiastic about stepping into this new role and is committed to showcasing the St. Joseph County Grange Fair in a positive light as it continues its 175-year tradition of excellence. Schinker is especially excited to collaborate with the Board of Directors and connect with association members, noting, "We are fortunate to have such a dedicated, hard-working group of individuals leading us at this time in the fair's storied history."

Schinker looks forward to meeting the community and invites everyone to stop by and say hello at the fair office anytime after May 18, 2026. She says she is eager to welcome both familiar faces and new visitors to the St. Joseph County Grange Fair.
