(HOLT) - In a nip and tuck battle, the Sturgis girls basketball team fell to DeWitt 39-38 in a Division 1 Regional semifinal game at Holt High School. The Lady Trojan played from behind for most of the game, but did take a brief lead in the fourth quarter before DeWitt regained the lead and eventually won the game. Angela Cary and Kinder Smith each had 10 points to lead Sturgis on the night. (LISTEN ABOVE). Cora Phillips added 8 points and Sydney Bir had 5 points. Sturgis ends the year at 20-4. DeWitt improves to 20-4 and will face Holt in the Regional Finals, after Holt beat Kalamazoo Central 65-57 in their semifinal game.
