(BRONSON) - Bronson is in the process of hiring a new Clerk-Treasurer.
City officials say that Tricia Rzepka is stepping down after she accepted a new position with Branch County.
Rzepka has been the Clerk-Treasurer for Bronson since May 2023. Previously she was the Clerk-Treasurer for Quincy.
The person hired by Bronson would handle the day-to-day financial business for Bronson along with maintaining financial records for the City Councill and collecting taxes. The Clerk-Treasurer is also the person who administers elections, keeps minutes for the City Council meetings and is the person responsible for City records.
Rzepka will start her new duties as the Chief Accountant for Branch County on December 15.
