(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana has produced more Powerball and Mega Millions jackpot winners than any other state in the nation, according to a new study.
Research released by Winz.io ranks Indiana fourth nationally for jackpot winners per capita, with nearly six major lottery winners per one million residents.
While several smaller Northeastern states ranked higher on a per-capita basis, the study found Indiana leads the country in the total number of Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots since 1992, with 41 major wins recorded.
The analysis highlights Indiana's strong presence in multi-state lottery games, reflecting both participation levels and the frequency of large prize winners. Analysts say the numbers place Indiana among the most successful states for players pursuing top-tier lottery jackpots.
