(READING) - A former law enforcement officer who served the communities of Reading and Hillsdale has died.
Jason Deck, of Bronson, died on January 14.
Deck was a graduate of Hillsdale High School and earned an associate degree in criminal justice from Kellogg Community College. He later became the youngest police chief in Michigan while leading the Reading Police Department.
Deck concluded his law enforcement career as a sergeant with the Hillsdale City Police Department.
A memorial service for Jason Deck is scheduled for Saturday, January 31, at 3 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
