Mendon girls top Burr Oak 38-33 to win District Title
(MENDON) – Down early, the host Mendon girls basketball team fought back, withstood a run in the third quarter, and came away with a 38-33 victory over Burr Oak to win a Division 4 District Championship. Brianna Heitkamp led the way for the Lady Hornets with 12 points. LINKC. Rowan Allen had 7 points and Cienna Nightingale had 6 points. Burr Oak got a game high 16 points from Braylyn Hernandez and 10 points from Elaine Holtom. Burr Oak ends the year at 16-7. Mendon is 13-10 and will take on Reading who upset No. 8 Pittsford 29-23 in a Regional semifinal game.
