(COLON) – After a long search, the Colon varsity football team has a new coach. School officials have announced that Kevin Bennett will take over the reigns as head coach of the Magi. Bennett is currently continuing his education as a Liberty University student, who is working toward is Master Of Divinity degree. He has over 20 years of coaching experience as both an assistant and a head coach. Most recently has been the head football coach at Eaton Rapids High School and the varsity head basketball coach at Calhoun Christian School. Bennett says he is honored to partner with Colon Schools, Athletics and the community to build on the success of what has been done in the past. On May 25, and Meet Coach Bennett event is scheduled at the Colon High School Athletic Field from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM.
