(UNDATED) – Bronson is a finalist for a chance to receive funds to enhance a portion of the City.
Bronson has been selected as one of ten finalists in the Consumers Energy Foundation’s annual “Put Your Town On The Map” pitch competition. This initiative aims to support projects that strengthen local identity and create vibrant public spaces in Michigan’s small towns.
Communities with populations under 10,000 were invited to submit proposals for projects that could positively impact their local areas.
Bronson’s proposal focuses on the creation of two Viking-themed wood sculptures at the City’s downtown Farmer’s Market Pavilion. The proposed sculptures pay tribute to the school mascot, and aims to create a striking and meaningful gateway into the market.
The Pavilion serves as a year-round hub for the community. It hosts the City’s farmers market, food truck rallies, and seasonal, holiday, and community events, bringing residents and visitors together.
The City of Bronson will present its pitch at the Small Town and Rural Development Conference on June 9, 2025, where three winners will be awarded grants of $25,000, $15,000, and $10,000 respectively, to help bring their vision to life.
