(STURGIS) – The Sturgis Department of Public Services is doing their annual April hydrant flushing around the city.
Crews started Monday by flushing all fire hydrants on Fawn River Road and south of Fawn River Road.
On Tuesday, hydrants in the area south of East Chicago Road and east of South Nottawa Street will be flushed.
Wednesday, crews will be flushing the hydrants south of West Chicago Road and west of South Nottawa Street.
On Thursday, the hydrants north of West Chicago Road and west of North Nottawa Street to North Centreville Road will be flushed.
Then on Friday, crews will be flushing hydrants in the area north of East Chicago Road and east of North Nottawa Street.
DPS officials says this is a tentative schedule and is subject to weather conditions.
Should any water discoloration occur at your faucet, let the water flow for several minutes until it becomes clear. If discoloration persists, or if you have questions, you can contact the Department Of Public Services at 269-659-7297.
