(DEKALB COUNTY) – A two vehicle crash claimed the life of one of the drivers.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, 60 year old Douglas Dowden of Butler was heading south on his motorcycle in the 3500 block of County Road 427 at 9:21 PM Saturday. Another vehicle, driven by 16 year old Makayla Bohler of Auburn entered the roadway from a driveway.
Bohler says she never saw Dowden’s motorcycle which hit Bohler’s auto on the front driver side bumper. Dowden was thrown from his motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bohler was not injured in the incident.
Assisting deputies were the Waterloo Marshals Office the Waterloo Fire Department, the Indiana State Police and Parkview EMS.
