(ANGOLA) – The City of Angola has a new Water Superintendent.
In a media release, Angola Mayor David Martin has announced that Mitchel Sattison has been promoted to the role of Water Superintendent. In his new position, Sattison will oversee the production, treatment and distribution of the high quality water that Angola residents and businesses depend on each day.
Sattison brings with him almost 18 years of experience in municipal water supply, including 4 years of serving as Superintendent of the Fremont Water Works. He joined the City of Angola in 2021 and holds State of Indiana Water Treatment (WT3) and Distribution System (DSM) certifications. These are credentials essential to ensuring the continued delivery of safe and reliable water to the community.
Martin says Sattison’s experience and professionalism make him an excellent fit for this role and he congratulates Sattison on this well deserved promotion and looks forward to his leadership.
Sattison will begin his new duties as Water Superintendent, effective May 3.
Sattison will take over for Tom Selman, who announced in March he was retiring May 2 after 40 years with the Angola Water Department.
