(COLDWATER TOWNSHIP) – Drugs and weapons were seized at a Branch County residence.
Sheriff Fred Blankenship says his office executed a search warrant in December at a Coldwater Township home. Officers found a large quantity of methamphetamine, multiple firearms and stolen property. Evidence of drug distribution was also found at the residence.
As a result of this investigation, deputies also later recovered a stolen side-by-side vehicle that had been reported missing.
Charges are being sought for drug possession, intent to deliver, firearm offenses and possession of stolen property.
Assisting with the search were the Coldwater Police Department and Life Care Ambulance. This investigation remains ongoing, with further details to be released as they become available.
Blankenship says this marks the last of multiple narcotics related search warrants conducted by the Sheriff’s Office in 2024 as part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug activity in the community. Blankenship says his office is committed to identifying and apprehending anyone involved in illegal drug activity and other crimes associated with it.
