(STURGIS) – Sturgis Public Schools is working to make sure their security measures are being enforced and looking at new steps to take.
During Monday’s Board of Education meeting, Sturgis Superintendent Dr. Art Ebert shared that he has been working with new Safety Director Sam Watson on some points of emphasis regarding security for the buildings in the District. LINKC.
The reason they stay locked is due to an emergency, they can simply be closed and they are locked to keep someone from getting into a classroom.
Ebert says ID’s are also an area the District is looking at as well. LINKD.
