(DEKALB COUNTY) – One person was injured in a two vehicle crash Wednesday night.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, 21 year old Kellie Hagen of Waterloo was traveling south on State Road 327 at 8:24 PM Wednesday. As she entered the intersection of County Road 40, Hagen was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by 20 year old Kayla Carpenter of Kendallville, who did not stop.
Both vehicles went off the road.
Hagen suffered injuries to her head, torso and abdomen and was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center for treatment. Carpenter was examined at the scene by Parkview EMS and refused transportation to the hospital.
