
(COLDWATER TOWNSHIP) – Authorities have released the name of a Coldwater man who was killed after being struck while riding his bicycle.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Office says 87 year old Gordon Sikorski was pronounced dead after he was hit while riding his bicycle in Coldwater Township.
Sikorski was riding his bicycle at 12:20 PM Wednesday on Dorrance Road near Fiske Road when he crossed into the path of a GMC Acadia that was heading east, and was struck by the vehicle.
First responders attempted life saving measures on Sikorski, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV, 47 year old Denise Anderson of Coldwater, was not injured.
Assisting deputies were the Coldwater Fire Department, the Branch County Victim Service Unit and Life Care Ambulance.
