(COLDWATER) – A Coldwater man is in critical condition following a crash between a motorcycle and an SUV.
Coldwater Deputy Police Chief Patrick Beeman says a 29 year old Coldwater man was driving his motorcycle west on U.S. 12 near Lott Road around 7 PM Wednesday. He was struck by a 48 year old Camden woman who was driving an SUV and was attempting to pull out of the Meijer parking lot and head east.
The Coldwater man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was initially taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital and later flown to Ascension Borgess Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The SUV driver was treated and released from ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
The Michigan State Police, Coldwater Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance assisted at the scene.
