(STURGIS) – Attendance was good at the City of Sturgis 2023 Memorial Day Ceremony Monday morning at Oaklawn Park.
Sturgis Mayor Jeff Mullins presented the Welcome Address to the crowd, sharing why Memorial Day is so important. LINKC.
The main speaker for the event was Swick Broadcasting’s Mike Stiles, who reminded the audience to remember not only those who have served and are no longer with us, but those who have served and have returned home. LINKD.
The crowd heard musical selections from the Sturgis High School Marching Band. The event was put on the Captain John J. Kelley V.F.W. Post 1355 in Sturgis.
