(INDIANAPOLIS) – February’s jobless rates were down across Northeast Indiana.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development has released the February figures, which shows that LaGrange County saw their jobless rate drop from 5.2% to 3.1%. That’s a decrease of 2.1%, which is the largest drop for the month around the area.
Noble County saw their jobless rate go from 5.2% to 3.7%, which is a decrease of 1.5%. Elkhart County went down from 4.9% to 3.8%, a drop of 1.1%. Steuben County remained at 2.9% and DeKalb stayed at 3%.
The City of Goshen saw their unemployment rate drop from 6.2% to 4%, which is a 2.2% cut from January to February. The City of Elkhart saw their jobless rate diminish by six-tenths of a percent, going from 5.5% to 4.9%.
Statewide, Indiana’s jobless rate remained at 3.1% for a third straight month.
