(PARK TOWNSHIP) – A Three Rivers man was injured in a one vehicle crash in Park Township.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department says deputies responded to U.S. 131 and Muskrat Road at 6:30 AM Thursday on a report of a single vehicle
crash.
The driver, identified as 22 year old Tyriq Perryman, was heading north on U.S. 131 when he lost control, went off the roadway and his vehicle overturned. He was taken to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Deputies say Perryman was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, and the airbags did not activate. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash and it’s suspected that alcohol and drugs played a part as well.
Assisting at the scene were the Fabius-Park Fire Department and the Three Rivers Fire and Ambulance. The crash remains under investigation.
