(UNDATED) – A Coldwater woman was injured Saturday afternoon in a two vehicle crash.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Department was called out to investigate a crash that happened at Jonesville and Marshall Roads. Deputies determined that 18 year old Macayla Skirke of Sherwood was driving west on Jonesville Road and stopped her Jeep at the intersection of Marshall Road. Skirke pulled into the intersection and told officers she didn’t see a northbound SUV driven by 55 year old Jamie Cline of Coldwater.
Cline was not able to stop and struck the Jeep.
Cline was transported to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital to be treated for her injuries. Skirke and two juveniles in the Jeep all had minor injures.
Everyone was wearing their safety belts at the time of the accident, and all the airbags in the vehicles activated.
Assisting at the scene were the Coldwater Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance.
Skirke was given a citation for failure to yield.
