(ATHENS TOWNSHIP) – Michigan State Police are investigating a missing person complaint.
Troopers say 53 year old William Ray Gillaspie has not been seen since May 4. He left his home at Birchwood Estates in Athens Township around 4 AM on that day.
Gillaspie has had serious issues with crack cocaine for years and his family is worried that his disappearance is related to his connections with drug dealers, however there is no evidence of that at this time.
Gillaspie is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 230 pounds. He has greyish-brown hair, and green-blue eyes. It's not known what clothing he was wearing. He did leave his home in his 2010 Dodge Ram pick up. It's maroon in color with some rust on the bottom, and a Michigan license plate number of EDK7412.
If anyone sees Gillaspie or his truck, or know where he is at, they are asked to call 911, or the Michigan State Police Post in Marshall at 269-558-0500.
