(COLDWATER) – A Coldwater man facing more charges of criminal sexual conduct has had his case bound over to Branch County Circuit Court.
Branch County District Court officials say 22 year old Tyler Chehowski waived his preliminary examination on Tuesday. He will now have an arraignment in Branch County Circuit Court on January 10.
In this recent case, Chehowski has been charged with two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct; two counts of third degree criminal sexual conduct and a charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. The charges were brought in connection with an alleged incident in the summer of 2019 with a then 15 year old girl.
On October 25, Chehowski was ordered to serve between 4 and 15 years from an earlier case, related to an alleged incident with a then 12 year old girl that happened in May of 2019. In that case, Chehowski entered a no contest plea to a charge of second degree criminal sexual conduct.
