(COLDWATER) – A plea agreement has been entered into by a Coldwater man arrested on charges of possession of sexually explicit items involving children.
Branch County Circuit Court officials say 34 year old Robert Sloan plead guilty to two charges of being in possession of child sexually abusive material. With the agreement, Branch County Prosecutor Zach Stempien dismissed four counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive materials, along with a charge of using a computer to commit a crime.
Michigan State Police conducted the investigation, which included searching Sloan's home. They seized electronic devices and found approximately 250 sexually explicit pictures, which were on a computer, a hard drive and a phone.
Troopers say that Sloan admitted to them he downloaded the pictures and had been doing that for many years.
Sloan is scheduled to be sentenced on January 24.
