(STURGIS) – The City of Sturgis will be flushing fire hydrants this coming week.
The Sturgis Department of Public Services will begin flushing hydrants Monday with all the hydrants on Fawn River Road and south of Fawn River Road.
On Tuesday, September 28, hydrants south of East Chicago Road and East of South Nottawa Street will be flushed. On Wednesday, September 29 crews will flush hydrants south of West Chicago Road and west of South Nottawa Street.
Crews on Thursday, September 30 will be flushing the hydrants in the area north of West Chicago Road and West of North Nottawa Street to North Centreville Road. The on Friday, October 1, the hydrants in the area north of East Chicago Road and east of North Nottawa Street are going to be flushed.
Should any water discoloration occur at your faucet, let the water flow for several minutes until it becomes clear. If discoloration persists, or if you have questions, contact the Department of Public Services at 269-651-2879.
