Elkhart Man Sentenced On Sex Related Charges
Saturday, September 25, 2021

(SOUTH BEND) – An Elkhart man has been sentenced on multiple charges.

Officials with the U.S. District Court in South Bend say 25 year old Khalil Jackson was found guilty in June following a four day trail on various federal charges, including sex trafficking of a minor; production of child pornography; transportation of child pornography; possession of child pornography; and cyberstalking.

Jackson was sentenced Friday to 40 years in prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release.

Acting U.S. Attorney Tina Nommay says the sentence reflects the seriousness of Jackson’s offense. She says this case exemplifies the dedication by law enforcement and prosecutors in protecting the rights of the victims of human trafficking activity.

FBI Indianapolis Acting Special Agent In Charge Paul Holderman says it's imperative children are able to grow up without being offered for sale by adults who place a price tag on them and attempt to profit from their innocence. Holderman says the FBI will continue to work closely with their law enforcement partners to ensure they hold those who prey on our children accountable for their heinous actions.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with the assistance of the St. Joseph County Police Department and Elkhart Police Department.
