(STURGIS) – A Holocaust survivor will be sharing her story Thursday in Sturgis.
Irene Butter, who was released from a concentration camp and eventually came to America, will be speaking in Sturgis, courtesy of the Sturgis District Library.
In an interview with WBET, Butter shared that her early life was a happy time spent with her family. LINKC.
Butter says her father went to Holland where he was able to find a job. She says the rest of the family, except for her grandparents, moved to Holland a few months later. LINKD.
Butter will start her presentation at 6:30 PM Thursday at the Sturges-Young Center for the Arts. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
