(LAGRANGE TOWNSHIP) – Two people were sent to the hospital following a Monday afternoon crash in Cass County's LaGrange Township.
Sheriff Richard Behnke says at 2 PM, 57 year old Cheryl Black of Dowagiac was driving east on Pokagon Highway. A vehicle driven by 18 year old Malcolm Willer of Union Pier was on Dailey Road and failed to stop at the intersection, causing Black to swerve off the road and go into a ravine, striking several large rocks.
Black and her passenger, 87 year old James Pease, were taken to Borgess Lee Hospital in Niles to be treated for their injuries. Everyone was wearing their safety belts.
The Cass Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance assisted at the scene.
