(STURGIS) – Goals have been set for Sturgis Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Art Ebert in the 2019-2020 school year.
During a closed session on Monday, the School's Governance Team, comprised of the Board of Education and Ebert, set down the goals for Ebert's performance evaluation process.
The Board selected four main goals for Ebert to prioritize during the current school year. They are: mission and vision; values, beliefs, principles and diversity; resource allocation and management; and leadership development.
In addition, the Governance Team chose the twenty-two components from the evaluation tool that Ebert will be rated on. During the year end performance appraisal, each component will be rated as either ineffective, minimally effective, effective or highly effective, using the School Advance Administrator Evaluation System.
Some of the components are student growth; mission and vision; goals and expectations; being fair, honest and ethical; adaptive and resilient; personnel policies and practices; board relations; leadership team relations; leadership development and productivity.
To strive for continued growth, the Governance Team will review Dr. Ebert's progress towards these goals and components during a Formative Evaluation Closed Session in November.
