Lakeland falls to Angola 35-12
(ANGOLA) – The Angola football team picked up their first win of the season, beating visiting Lakeland 35-12 in an NECC Big School Division game. Lakeland was kept out of the endzone until the fourth quarter, while the Hornets did all of their scoring in the first half. Khamron Malaivanh had one carry for 81 yards and a touchdown for the Lakers. Camryn Holbrook had 13 carries for 53 yards and a score. He was also 3 for 11 for 48 yards and an interception. Nathan Grossman led the Laker defense with 7 tackles while Bryce Alleshouse had 6 on the night. Angola's Finley Hasselman had 10 carries for 141 yards and 2 TD's. Ryan Brandt had 6 carries for 59 yards and a touchdown. He also had 2 receptions for 52 yards and a score. Owen Shoup had 5 tackles for Angola while Nic Osos had 4 tackles. Lakeland falls to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the Big School Division. Angola is 1-4 overall and 1-1 in the Division.
