LAGRANGE – One of the signposts of Spring happens this weekend.
The LaGrange County Parks and Recreation Department holds its Maple Syrup Days at the Maple Wood Nature Center on Saturday and Sunday.
The South Milford Lions Club will serve all the pancakes you can eat along with sausage from 7 AM to 2:30 PM. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children.
Then you can take a horse drawn wagon tour of the sugar bush from 8 AM to 3 PM both days. Tours of the sugar shack and backyard sugar making demonstrations are also available, along with games and puppet shows for the kids.
Pure maple syrup will be for sale as well.
Maple Wood is located at 4550 East County Road 100 South near LaGrange.
