(STURGIS) – It was a lighter turnout than in years past for the Michigan State Police “Stuff A Blue Goose” Christmas food and toy drive on Saturday.
Troopers from the White Pigeon Detachment were at the Sturgis and Three Rivers Wal Mart Stores accepting donations of new toys and non perishable food items to help people in need. Trooper Jason Sylvester says while there may not have been as many items given this year, they did see an increase in one area of the event. LINKC.
Sylvester reminds people that everything collected in Sturgis and Three Rivers stays in St. Joseph County. LINKD.
Sylvester says the Salvation Army picked up the toys and food items and will distribute them to families who need a hand up this Christmas season.
