(CONSTANTINE) - Constantine High School on Friday operated under a perimeter hold.
In a posting on the Constantine Schools Facebook page, Superintendent Patrick Breen said the school was made aware of a post regarding a social media trend, "Cat In The Hat".
Breen says they actively worked with local and state law enforcement and Constantine High School was swept Friday morning by law enforcement and there was an increased police presence.
It was out of an abundance of caution they took this step to ensure Constantine High School remains completely secure.
During a perimeter hold, all exterior doors remain locked, students in hallways are limited and there is no open campus. Inside the school, operations and learning continued.
Breen later posted that while they had no reason to believe there was or is an active threat to the Constantine Schools community, they will always err on the side of caution when it comes to keeping children safe.
