Thursday, July 18, 2019

(OLIVET) – Olivet College senior shortstop and former Bronson standout Kinslea Blouin has added another accolade to her list of honors for 2019. Blouin was named by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association to the 2019 All Central Regional First Team. She was also eligible for selection to the NFCA All America Team, but was not named to the team. Blouin, a two time All MIAA selection, was the conference's batting average (.441) and slugging percentage (.793) leader in 2019. That gives her the third best batting average in Olivet history for a season. Blouin's slugging percentage, .511 on-base percentage, 39 runs scored and eight home runs are second-best. She reached base safely in 33 of 36 games played this season, and notched multiple hits in 13 games, including five with three. Blouin produced a 15-game hit streak, which tied the school record. Defensively, she broke the single-season record with 113 fielding assists. In two seasons at Olivet, Blouin is the all time leader in home runs (15) and slugging percentage (.484). She also ranks among the top 10 all-time in batting average (second, .434), on-base percentage (second, .484), stolen bases (seventh, 23) and fielding assists (fourth, 200).
