Incumbents Re-elected To St. Joseph County Commission

(CENTREVILLE) – Four incumbents will be joined by a new person on the St. Joseph County Commission.
Voters on Tuesday elected Kenneth Malone to serve as the Fifth District Commissioner, representing the City of Sturgis and Fawn River Township. Malone defeated Richard Homan 2002 to 951.
In the race for the Third District seat, incumbent Dennis Allen defeated Judy Nelson 2920 to 1605. The Third District is made up of Florence, Lockport, Nottawa and Sherman Townships.
The other contested race on the County Commission was for the Fourth District seat. Incumbent Daniel Czajkowski defeated challenger Elizabeth O'Dell 2500 to 1075. The Fourth District is Sturgis, Constantine, Mottville and White Pigeon Townships.
First District incumbent Commissioner Allen Balog ran unopposed and was re-lected with 3175 votes. The First District is made up of the City of Three Rivers, along with Fabius and Flowerfield Townships.
Incumbent Commissioner Kathy Pangle was re-elected to represent the Second District with 3725 votes. The Second District includes Mendon, Burr Oak, Colon, Leonidas and Park Townships.
