(ANGOLA) – Last week’s discovery of a body at the Trine State Recreation Area near Angola is now a homicide case.
An autopsy Sunday morning resulted in the homicide declaration by Steuben County Coroner Bill Harter.
Indiana State Police investigators are still trying to determine the victim’s identity and say that may take several weeks.
Workers at the area discovered the remains of a male on Friday morning and called Conservation Officers and Indiana State Police.
It’s not known how long the body had been there. No other details are being released at this time.
